Alankuda Beach is on the western coast of the Kalpitiya peninsula in North Western Province, near the Bar Reef marine sanctuary. The beach faces west and receives SW monsoon winds from May to October.

An intermediate ocean spot. The Bar Reef offshore provides some wave shelter, creating calmer conditions than fully exposed beaches. Sandy bottom with warm, clear water. Marine life is abundant due to the reef sanctuary. Be careful of coral areas and fishing activities. Some guesthouses nearby. A scenic spot combining kitesurfing with nature.
