Windy Point is the most popular kitesurfing spot on Lake Travis, Austin's iconic Hill Country lake. This lakeside park offers excellent water access with shore launch areas. Lake Travis, spanning 18,900 acres, is part of the Highland Lakes chain and is fed by the Colorado River. Windy Point lives up to its name — it's one of the windiest spots on the lake thanks to its position and exposure. Very popular spot with Austin's kite community.
