Khasan Beach is a kitesurfing spot in Khassan District, at the far south of Primorsky Krai, near the North Korean border. It is one of the southernmost spots in Russia on the Pacific coast.
The sandy beach faces the Sea of Japan. The water body is open with potentially rough sea conditions. The area is relatively wild and undeveloped.
Prevailing winds come from the south and southeast in summer. Season runs from June to October. Water is among the warmest on Russia's Pacific coast (16-24°C in summer). The spot is remote and requires good self-sufficiency. Spot for advanced riders due to isolation.
