Cape Krabbe

Cape Krabbe

Overview

Krabbe is a kitesurfing spot on the Krabbe Peninsula (Cape Krabbe), at the far south of Primorsky Krai, in Khassan District, Sea of Japan. The cape is named after Russian explorer Nikolai Krabbe.

The spot faces the open Sea of Japan, with a powerful water body. The coast is rocky with sandy sections. Waves and swell are frequent.

Prevailing winds come from the south and southeast. The spot is very exposed and conditions can be demanding. Season runs from June to October. Water is among the warmest on Russia's Pacific coast (15-23°C). Expert spot due to rocks, currents and total remoteness.
