Akhlestysheva is a beach located on Russky Island, connected to Vladivostok by the famous Russky Island Bridge. It is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in the area thanks to its southern wind exposure and sandy beach.
The spot offers an open water body on the Sea of Japan with regular winds in summer. The sandy beach facilitates launching and landing. Water is shallow for the first few meters.
Prevailing winds come from the south and southeast, particularly reliable from June to September thanks to the summer monsoon. Water stays cold (13-21°C), wetsuit mandatory. The spot can be exposed to Pacific swells.
