Sletterhage is located at the southern tip of the Helgenæs peninsula on the east coast of Jutland (Djursland). This very exposed headland offers open sailing on the Kattegat with a wide range of favorable wind directions. The spot is known for its challenging conditions with current and waves.

Rough to heavy water with waves and current. Rocky and sandy bottom. Waves can be significant in strong south or east winds. Tip current around the headland. Challenging conditions typical of an exposed cape.

Hazards

Strong currents around the headland. Rocks and underwater reefs. Powerful waves in strong winds. Very exposed area with no shelter. Do not ride alone and have a good skill level. Watch out for drift from current.
