Port Clinton is a kitesurfing spot located on the east coast of Spencer Gulf in South Australia, north of the Yorke Peninsula. It is a small coastal village offering sailing conditions in the sheltered waters of the gulf. The dominant wind comes from the southwest in summer. The waters are shallow and calm in this part of the gulf, with significant mudflats at low tide. The bottom is sandy to muddy. Conditions are suitable for beginners. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners. Port Clinton is a remote place with few amenities. Be aware of depth variations caused by the significant tides in Spencer Gulf.
