Grizzly bears frequent around the lake (Glacier corridor). Very cold water — thick wetsuit mandatory. Afternoon thunderstorms with lightning. Large body of water — dangerous waves in strong winds. Boat traffic in summer. Valley winds can build rapidly without warning.
