The NKV explicitly asks riders not to kite at Andijk: by respecting this, the kite community shows it can be trusted, which is the best way to secure official access in the future. Please use the nearby official spot at Medemblik instead.

IJsselmeer — flat to light chop. Shallow. Fresh water. No tidal influence. Standing area available. Good for beginners, freestyle and sup foiling.
Free parking at Oosterdijk 8, Medemblik. Always enough space. Camping sites Lode61 and Camping Zuiderzee nearby for multi-day stays.
NE/E/N/NW/W all work onshore or cross-shore. SW offshore from village. Thermals in summer. Year-round. Flat water IJsselmeer classic conditions.
