Sæby Minibyen is a spot located in Sæby on the east coast of northern Jutland, facing the Kattegat. The beach provides easy access to an open body of water on the Kattegat. Winds from the north to east sector create the best conditions with sufficient fetch to form chop.
Open all year round
Intermediate
Choppy to rough water depending on wind in the Kattegat. Sandy bottom. Waves possible in strong north or northeast winds. Water is relatively cold even in summer due to Kattegat currents.
Rocks and stones near the shore in places. Coastal current possible in strong winds. Sæby harbour creates an obstacle to avoid. Watch out for fishermen and nets near the coast.
