Koufonissi (Kaufonisi) is a kitesurfing spot located on the small island of Koufonissi, in the Lesser Cyclades in Greece. This tiny island offers fine sand beaches and turquoise waters in a paradise setting. The spot is exposed to the Meltemi, the dominant north wind that blows strongly in summer in the Cyclades. Conditions can be sustained and the spot is suitable for advanced riders due to the wind exposure and isolation. The island is accessible by ferry from Naxos.
