Kye Bay is a popular beach located near Comox, on the east coast of Vancouver Island. The spot faces northeast toward the Georgia Strait and the CFB Comox military base is just to the north. Beautiful sandy beach with relatively warm water in summer for BC. Views of the snow-capped mainland mountains. Very busy in summer with families.

Flat to choppy water. Sandy bottom. Moderate fetch from the NE across the Georgia Strait. Shallow water for a good distance. No significant waves. Light coastal current.
Very busy swimming zone in summer — respect swimmers. Proximity to CFB Comox military base — do not approach restricted areas. Floating logs. Cold water. Military aircraft flying over the area.
