Overview

Egeskov is a spot on the Broager peninsula in Flensburg Fjord, facing Holnis (Germany). Broager Bay (Broager Bugt) offers a sheltered body of water with standing depth, but beware: in strong westerly winds, water can recede to only 20-40 cm depth.

Flat to slightly choppy water in the sheltered fjord. Sandy and muddy bottom. Shallow water near the shore. Calm conditions ideal for progression.

Hazards

WARNING: Kitesurfing is BANNED from May 16 to September 15 at Broager Bugt (bird protection and museum). Fishing nets and buoys in the water. Mole and rocks on shore. Trees, road, and fence on the beach. In strong westerly wind, the bay can become dangerously shallow (20-40 cm).
