Aston Bay Beach is a beach located south of Jeffreys Bay, in the small residential area of Aston Bay. This sandy beach faces south-southwest and offers moderate wave conditions, less intense than J-Bay's point breaks. It is a good intermediate spot with a quiet residential setting. The beach is less crowded than J-Bay, offering more space to ride peacefully.
The spot works with SE to WSW wind in side-onshore to onshore. Beach break waves on sandy bottom. Rideable at all tides. Fewer conflicts with surfers than at J-Bay. Good alternative spot when J-Bay's main spots are too crowded.
Waves of 0.5-2 metres (beach break). Sandy bottom. Moderate chop in SE wind. Water temperature between 18-22°C. 3/2 wetsuit in summer, 4/3 in winter.
