Plum Island Point is a kitesurf spot located at the southern tip of Plum Island, near Newburyport, on the north shore of Massachusetts. This barrier island offers ocean exposure with good wave and wind conditions. Preserved natural setting with the Parker River wildlife refuge.

Ocean conditions with exposure to Atlantic swell. Waves possible on NE or east swell. Strong currents at the mouth of the Merrimack River and Plum Island Sound bay. Bay side offering flat water conditions.
Very strong currents at the river mouth and Sound. Wildlife refuge – check access restrictions. Sharks possible. Cold water year-round – thick wetsuit required. Isolated area at the point.
