East Shoal Lake is a spot on the east shore of Shoal Lake, in Manitoba's Interlake region. This small lake connected to the watershed between Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba offers perfect conditions for beginners: very shallow waters, flat bottom and 360° wind exposure on the prairies. The Interlake region benefits from consistent winds channeled between Manitoba's two great lakes.
Very shallow prairie lake. Flat to slightly choppy water. Flat sandy/muddy bottom allowing standing far from shore. Ideal conditions for learning and progression. Minimal chop even in strong wind thanks to shallow depth.
