Hefner KitePoint is the dedicated kitesurfer spot on Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City, named by the local community. Located on the east shore of the lake, this spot offers the best exposure to prevailing south winds with good fetch. Main gathering point for the OKC kite community. Grassy launch area. Season from April to November.

Freshwater with variable visibility. Water temperature from 5°C in winter to 28°C in summer. Good fetch northward from east shore. Muddy bottom. Moderate chop in south winds. Shorty or rashguard in summer, 4/3 wetsuit in spring/fall.
TORNADOES: monitor weather constantly — exit water if tornado warning. Violent thunderstorms with lightning, hail, and destructive winds frequent April to June. Powerful south winds. Boat traffic. Water moccasin snakes.
