Chiaia di Forio is a beach located on the west coast of the island of Ischia, in the municipality of Forio. This beautiful sandy beach is one of the most popular on the island, exposed to west and northwest winds. The spot catches the Maestrale (NW) and Ponente (W) well, which arrive side-shore to onshore. The sunsets are spectacular. The waters of Ischia are among the warmest in the Mediterranean thanks to volcanic activity.

Parking in Forio, near Chiaia beach. Limited spaces in high season. The island of Ischia is accessible by ferry from Naples and Pozzuoli (approximately 1 hour).
West swell can be strong. Shore break. Rocks at the ends of the bay. Very crowded beach in summer. Coastal currents.
