Camping de Eenhoorn at Schardam is a kitesurf spot on the western shore of the Markermeer (Zeedijk between Edam and Warder area). The Markermeer offers flat to choppy freshwater conditions without tidal currents — popular with Markermeer kite community. Shallow water makes it accessible for intermediate riders. The dike offers a great vantage point for spectators. This spot works with easterly winds — one of the few places on the Markermeer's west bank where E wind is onshore.

⚠️ Official Natura 2000 kite zone: only permitted at the designated location (Camping de Eenhoorn area). Outside the zone = fine.
⚠️ West and NW wind are offshore on the Markermeer west shore — never launch in these conditions.
