Overview

Playa Mansa is the RĂ­o de la Plata side beach of Punta del Este, offering calmer conditions than the Atlantic-facing Playa Brava. The water is relatively flat with light chop.

Prevailing winds come from the northeast, east, and southeast, with speeds of 15-25 knots during the season (December to March). Conditions are more accessible than Playa Brava thanks to the absence of big waves.

The spot suits beginner to intermediate riders. Punta del Este offers full tourist infrastructure with luxury hotels, restaurants, and nightlife.
