Sulphur Creek is a kitesurf spot on Sulphur Creek Reservoir at 2,190m elevation in southwestern Wyoming, near Evanston, in the Uinta Mountains region. This isolated reservoir offers consistent southwest winds in a high-altitude prairie setting. Short season from June to September due to altitude. Very uncrowded. Access via gravel road.

Cold high-altitude freshwater. Water temperature from 0°C in winter (frozen) to 17°C in summer. Muddy to sandy bottom. Compact lake with limited fetch. Short chop. Full 5/3 wetsuit recommended even in summer. Elevation 2,190m.
High elevation (2,190m): rapid dehydration and increased fatigue. Very cold water — rapid hypothermia. Violent mountain thunderstorms with lightning. Isolation: no rescue services, no cell coverage. Winds can increase abruptly. Elk and mule deer in the area. Unpaved access road.
