Kite Park is a kitesurfing spot on the Columbia River in the eastern Gorge, on the Washington side, near Maryhill. As its name suggests, it's a dedicated kitesurfing site with good water access. The spot benefits from powerful Gorge thermal winds funneling from the west. Flat water conditions on the reservoir. Semi-arid landscape with hills and basalt cliffs. Popular eastern Gorge spot with an active local community.

Columbia reservoir with fresh water. Pleasant temperature in summer (19-23°C/66-73°F). Shorty to 3/2mm wetsuit in summer. Flat water to light chop — excellent conditions. Moderate current. Sandy to rocky bottom. Good riding area.
Thermal winds can increase rapidly with gusts. Current in the main channel. Barge traffic. Intense summer heat — stay hydrated. Rocks along the shores.
