Reeder Beach is a kitesurfing spot on the Columbia River, on the west shore of Sauvie Island, near Portland, Oregon. This spot offers river access in a rural and natural setting, on Oregon's largest river island. Sauvie Island is known for its farms, wetlands, and abundant wildlife. Westerly thermal winds are moderate in this river section, offering accessible conditions. It is a popular spot for riders in the Portland area.

Fresh water from the Columbia River, cool to temperate (13-20°C in summer). 3/2 wetsuit in summer, 4/3 in spring and fall. Moderate river current in this wide section. Generally flat surface with slight chop during thermal winds. Westerly winds at 12-22 knots in summer. Wide and accessible waterway with a sand beach for launching.
River traffic: frequent barges, tugboats, and recreational boats near Portland. River current that can carry riders downstream. Protected wildlife areas on Sauvie Island: respect restrictions. Possible submerged tree stumps and debris. Cold water outside summer. Heavy recreational boat traffic on weekends. Power lines in some areas.
