Oriñón is a wide beach in a lush green valley in eastern Cantabria. Popular winter spot for strong N wind — waves or chop depending on swell. In the west of the estuary, lagoons fill at high tide for flat water kiting. In the east, a nice wave breaks at low tide — but at high water the ride finishes on an almost vertical rock face — critical to pull out in time! Expert on the wave side, beginner-friendly on the lagoon side.
