Peñarrubia is the beach just east of Gijón's San Lorenzo. Continuation of the same coastline but less urban, more natural. NE wind cross-onshore. Slightly less crowded than San Lorenzo. NW-W Atlantic swells. Sandy bottom, beach breaks. Intermediate. Good option to escape the city beach crowds.
