Waves — this is a WAVE spot, not flat water. Tramuntana N creates strong waves that you can attack almost head-on — excellent for wave riding and maneuvers. Gregal NE and Llevant E also generate swell. Sandy bottom, no rocks. Water 14-16°C winter (5/4mm), 17-20°C autumn/spring (4/3 or 3/2), 23-26°C summer. Shore break on storm days.

Tramuntana (N) — THE wind that made La Patacona famous. Blows with particular intensity north of Valencia city from end of summer through spring. Onshore, generates strong waves. Head-on attack facilitates maneuvers — highly valued by kitesurfers and windsurfers. 15-30+ kts. Kites 7-10m.
Gregal (NE) — Winter. Side-onshore. Strong, waves. Common during storms. Advanced.
Llevant (E) — Winter. Onshore, swell. Powerful days. Advanced.
SE (Garbí thermal) — Spring/early autumn. Lighter, side-shore. Less consistent here than further south (Cullera/Oliva).
⚠️ Valencia city spots work best with N/NE/E winds — thermal SE/S is much better further south on the coast.
⚠️ Lots of bathers in summer — kite restricted/forbidden summer months.
⚠️ Tramuntana N generates strong waves — can be powerful, not for beginners on wave days.
⚠️ Shore break on storm days — entering/exiting water tricky with big kite.
⚠️ Current on strong Llevant E days — stay aware of drift.
