Overview

Playa la Espasa is a wide sandy beach east of Gijón in the Colunga area. Works best in cross-onshore NE wind. On light summer days enough for freeride or bump-and-jump. In strong winds, waves stay slightly smaller than next door at Arenal de Morís. Some shorebreak at high tide. Intermediate level. Big tidal range — check the tides.
