Overview

Findhorn Bay is a natural estuary and lagoon on the Moray Firth coast, famous for the Findhorn community. The bay offers exceptional flat water conditions inside the estuary, with a shallow and sheltered body of water. One of the best flat water spots in Scotland. At high tide, the lagoon offers a vast navigable body of water.

Parking
Parking at Findhorn village, access to the beach and bay. Also accessible from the east side of the bay via Kinloss.
Hazards
Very strong tidal currents at the entrance to the bay — avoid the main channel. Shifting sandbanks. The bay drains considerably at low tide, reducing the navigable area. Dangerous outgoing currents on the ebbing tide.
