White pebble beach with turquoise water. River Algar creates a small lake in its last stretch — stunning backdrop. All wave conditions depending on wind: flat with offshore, chop with side-shore, waves with onshore E/NE. Rocky bottom in sections — be careful. Water 22-26°C summer, 14-17°C winter. Perfect spot for kite photography — the pebble/turquoise contrast is unique.
Access by crossing under the N-332 national road. Parking along the road above the beach. Altea old town 5 min — charming white village perched on the hill. Between Benidorm (10 min south) and Calpe (15 min north). AP-7 motorway.
Llevant (E) — Best wind. Onshore at this beach. Spring/summer especially. Waves. Kites 8-12m.
Garbí (SW) — Thermal. Side-shore. Lighter, flatter. Spring/summer.
Tramuntana (N) — Winter. Side-offshore. Strong. Expert.
Mestral (NW) — Winter. Offshore. Expert only.
Gregal (NE) — Side-onshore. Waves. Winter storms.
All wind directions work here — the beach orientation and surrounding mountains create varied conditions. Expert playground.
