Sines North (Praia de Sines / Praia Vasco da Gama) is the main town beach of Sines, located north of the port. At the northern end, beginners find gentler peaks on a wide sandy beach. Further south, conditions become more challenging with stronger waves and breaks. Exposed to NW-N Nortada, which can be slightly offshore. Less consistent for kite than São Torpes but a good option when swell is right. Beautiful setting beneath the medieval Sines castle. Easy access with parking, restaurants, and all town amenities.
