Access Road No 1 is the first beach access on the Gulf side heading south from Port Aransas on Mustang Island. The sand beach faces the Gulf of Mexico with good SE wind conditions. It's a popular kite access due to its proximity to Port Aransas and its amenities. The beach is car-accessible, offering comfortable setup directly from the vehicle.
