March Point is a kitesurfing spot on Fidalgo Island near Anacortes, in northern Washington State. This point juts into Padilla Bay / Fidalgo Bay, offering exposure to southerly winds. The spot is located near the March Point oil refineries but still provides access to an interesting tide-influenced body of water. Flat water to moderate chop conditions in this sheltered bay.
Fidalgo Bay with cold saltwater (7-13°C/45-55°F). A 5/3mm wetsuit recommended. Flat water to moderate chop. Tides strongly influence the rideable area — mud flats exposed at low tide. Moderate tidal currents. Muddy to sandy bottom.
