Laguna Reef is a kitesurf spot on the bay side of North Padre Island, on the Upper Laguna Madre. The spot offers access to shallow lagoon flats with protected flat water conditions. It's a good alternative to Gulf spots for those who prefer calmer conditions. The body of water is expansive with sandy bottom and very shallow areas ideal for progression.
Shallow Upper Laguna Madre flats. Sandy bottom. Flat and protected water. Warm water. Low amplitude tide but influencing water level on the flats. Good conditions for freestyle and learning.
