Hunter is a kitesurfing spot in Bellingham Bay, in northern Washington State. This spot offers access to the bay waters with good exposure to south to southwest winds. Bellingham Bay is a sheltered body of water influenced by tides, offering calmer conditions than the open Strait of Georgia. Pacific Northwest coastal setting with views of the San Juan Islands and Mount Baker.

Very cold water year-round — high hypothermia risk. Tidal currents in the bay. Muddy bottom at low tide can make walking difficult. Maritime traffic including ferries to the San Juan Islands. Mud flats exposed at low tide.
