Double Bluff is located on Whidbey Island at the Usless Bay. This spot is typically used in the winter with predominant southerly winds. This is a nice and save spot to kite. Take off is from the sandy beach.
There are no amenities close by. Make sure you have food and water with you, especially in the winter. During the winter all outside water tabs are turned off.
Be aware of the tide, especially in the winter. Extreme high tides will flood the beach as indicated in the picture gallery. Closest tide forecast can be found here: Holly Farms Harbour

Parking
Parking is available on a paved parking spot, however it is limited to about 20 cars. There are basic washroom fascilities available. Parking is free.
Hazards
In general this is a save spot to kite. However, there are some buoys to the north of the spot. If you cannot stay upwind, they may present a danger.
Winter kiting in cold water is inherently dangerous. Make sure you wear appropriate gear and gloves. Southerly frontal winds ar notoriously gusty and up and down. Don't get caught too far from the beach with no wind.

This site is commonly used in the winter with winds out of the south. Winds are pro or post frontal. The wind vary in strength and might be very gusty at times.
Watch the weather forecast. The North West experiences frequent winter storms. Wind strength might and have reached Level 1 hurricane strength. Don't become a statistic.
