South Sandy Beach (South) is a kitesurf spot on the southeast shore of Utah Lake, with a sandy beach offering good water access. Consistent afternoon thermal winds. Spacious launch area. Season from April to October.
Shallow freshwater (max ~4m). Water temperature from 2°C in winter to 24°C in summer. Sandy bottom near beach, muddy further out. Short chop. Full 4/3 wetsuit in spring/fall, shorty in summer.
