Gleneden Beach is a kitesurfing spot on Oregon's central coast, between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay. This residential beach offers a quieter, less touristy setting than neighboring Lincoln City beaches. The beach is wide and exposed to North Pacific swells, with regular northwest thermal winds in summer. Access is from the Gleneden Beach State Recreation Site with parking and beach access trail.

Cold water year-round (10-14°C), 4/3 wetsuit essential in summer, 5/3 in winter. Regular waves of 1 to 2 meters with northwest swell. Sandy bottom. Frequent rip currents, especially on outgoing tide. Northwest thermal wind blows regularly at 15-25 knots in summer. Conditions similar to other beaches in the Lincoln City area.
Dangerous sneaker waves on this exposed beach. Powerful rip currents on outgoing tide. Massive driftwood on the beach. Very cold water risking hypothermia. Coastal fog that can reduce visibility suddenly. Trail access from parking: evaluate conditions before descending. Some rocks in certain beach sections.
