Isle of Palms is a kitesurfing spot on the barrier island of the same name, northeast of Charleston. The long sandy beach facing the Atlantic offers excellent kitesurfing conditions with good waves and regular winds. The island is more residential and less commercial than Folly Beach, offering a quieter setting. The spot is popular with Charleston kitesurfers, with good beach access and space to ride. Wave conditions in east and northeast swell.

Strong tidal currents near Breach Inlet between Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. Frequent swimmers in summer. Sharks and jellyfish in coastal waters. Thunderstorms possible in summer. Respect swimming zones and any kitesurfing restrictions.
