Woahink Lake is a freshwater lake located inland, near Florence on Oregon's south-central coast. This lake is nestled in coastal forests, close to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. The body of water offers calm and protected conditions, without the dangers of the Pacific Ocean. Northwest thermal winds reach the lake in summer, providing possible sessions in moderate wind. It is a safer alternative to the ocean spots in the Florence area.

Fresh lake water, warmer than the ocean (14-21°C in summer). 3/2 wetsuit in summer, 4/3 in spring and fall. Flat water without waves, ideal for freestyle and progression. Sandy and muddy bottom in places. Winds are lighter and less consistent than on the coast, filtered by the surrounding forest. Lake size is limited but sufficient for riding.
Limited lake size: watch for shores and obstacles. Aquatic vegetation and possible submerged tree stumps. Winds can be irregular and gusty due to surrounding forest creating turbulence. Recreational and fishing boat traffic on the lake, especially on weekends. Cool water that can cause hypothermia during extended sessions. Respect the forest environment and local wildlife.
