Ranger Station is a soundside spot north of Rodanthe on Hatteras Island, near a Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge ranger station. The spot provides access to Pamlico Sound with flat and shallow water. The area is more isolated and wild than village spots. Pea Island NWR is an important refuge for migratory birds, and riding should be done with respect for wildlife. Sandy bottom, classic Pamlico Sound conditions.
