West Gilgo Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the ocean coast of Jones Beach Island, on Long Island's south shore. This wild beach offers direct Atlantic exposure with good wind conditions. Less crowded than other beaches in the area, it provides more space for riding.

Rip currents and longshore currents. Variable shore break. Isolated beach – riding with a buddy recommended. Cold water from fall through spring.
