West Gilgo Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the ocean coast of Jones Beach Island, on Long Island's south shore. This wild beach offers direct Atlantic exposure with good wind conditions. Less crowded than other beaches in the area, it provides more space for riding.
Ocean conditions with Atlantic waves and swell. Surf kiting possible on south or southeast swells. Longshore currents present. Water state varies from choppy to formed waves depending on swell.
