Seaside Cove is a small cove located south of the town of Seaside, on Oregon's north coast, at the foot of Tillamook Head. This rocky cove offers a spectacular setting with coastal cliffs and rock formations. The beach is smaller and more sheltered than the neighboring long open beaches, but remains exposed to Pacific swells. Access is via a trail from the coastal road, offering a more intimate and less crowded spot than Seaside Beach.
Cold water year-round (10-14°C), 4/3 wetsuit minimum in summer, 5/3 in winter. Waves of 1 to 2 meters in the cove, with swell refraction around the rocks. Mixed sandy and rocky bottom. Currents around rock formations and Tillamook Head promontory. Riding space limited by the cove size. Conditions are calmer than on open beaches thanks to partial headland protection.
