Barview Beach is a kitesurfing spot on Oregon's north coast, near the north jetty of Tillamook Bay. The beach offers direct access to the Pacific Ocean with exposure to northwest swells. The spot is near Barview Jetty County Park, with camping and basic facilities. The proximity to Tillamook Bay offers the option of riding in the calmer bay waters in moderate wind.
Cold water year-round (10-14°C), 4/3 wetsuit essential in summer, 5/3 in winter. Waves of 1 to 2.5 meters on the ocean side with powerful northwest swell. Sandy bottom on the main beach. Significant currents near the jetty and Tillamook Bay mouth. Conditions are calmer on the bay side for less experienced riders.
