Frisco Woods Campground is a campground on the Pamlico Sound in Frisco, Hatteras Island. It's one of the most popular spots in the area for kitesurfers, as the campground provides direct sound access with a large grassy area for rigging and launching. Several kite schools operate from here. The water in front of the campground is vast, shallow and perfectly flat — ideal conditions for learning. The campground offers tent sites, RV hookups and cabins. It's a gathering place for the Outer Banks kite community.
