Luderitz is a kitesurfing spot located in the Karas region of southern Namibia. This coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean is world-renowned for its extreme winds, among the strongest and most consistent on the planet. The south/southwest winds are amplified by the local topography and the cold Benguela Current. The water is very cold (around 14 degrees C). The spot has hosted numerous speed records.
