Gilgo Beach / Jones Beach Island is a kitesurf spot located on the ocean coast of the barrier island on Long Island's south shore. This Atlantic-exposed beach offers good wind and wave conditions. The sandy beach is wide and allows comfortable kite launching.
Atlantic ocean conditions with waves and swell. Good surf kite conditions on south swells. Longshore currents and rip currents possible. Variable shore break depending on conditions.
