Siletz Bay is a coastal estuary located in Lincoln City, on Oregon's central coast. This protected bay, formed by the mouth of the Siletz River, offers significantly calmer conditions than the open ocean. The shallow waters and sheltered waterway make it an accessible spot for intermediate riders. The bay is surrounded by Lincoln City's residential and commercial areas, offering easy access and nearby services.

Cold water (10-15°C), 4/3 wetsuit recommended in summer, 5/3 in winter. Mix of saltwater and fresh water from the Siletz River. Shallow waters with sandy and muddy bottom. No ocean waves in the bay, flat to slightly choppy surface. Significant tidal currents in the main channels, especially on outgoing tide. The waterway shrinks considerably at low tide, exposing large mudflats.
Tidal currents in the main channels that can carry riders toward the ocean. Shifting sandbars and mudflats creating unpredictable areas. At low tide, the waterway is very reduced with shallow bottoms. Be careful not to drift toward the mouth and open ocean. Cold water that can cause hypothermia. Fishing and boating zones to respect. Small boat traffic in the bay.
