Rodanthe Soundside is a Pamlico Sound access in Rodanthe village, the northernmost village of the tri-village section (Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo) of Hatteras Island. The spot offers the characteristic flat water of Pamlico Sound in a quieter, residential setting. Rodanthe is known for its laid-back atmosphere and easy water access. The water is ultra-shallow with a sandy bottom, ideal for learning. The village is also famous for the Rodanthe Pier on the ocean side, but this spot is on the sound side.
