Indian Beach is a kitesurfing spot located in Ecola State Park, near Cannon Beach on Oregon's north coast. This isolated and spectacular beach is nestled between dramatic cliffs covered with old-growth forests. The spot is famous for its wild beauty (filming location for The Goonies). Conditions are extreme with powerful waves, pervasive rocks, and dangerous currents. Reserved exclusively for experts.

Very exposed ocean spot with waves of 1 to 4m. Water is cold (10-14°C/50-57°F), a 5/3 wetsuit with hood is recommended. Rocky and sandy bottom with numerous reefs. Powerful shore break on rocks. Violent currents between rock formations. Ecola Park's cliffs create wind channeling effects.
Pervasive rocks and reefs — extreme collision danger. Violent and unpredictable currents between rock formations. Shore break on rocks — extremely dangerous. Very cold water — rapid hypothermia. Sneaker waves. Unstable cliffs — rockfall possible. Difficult access via park trail. No rescue services nearby. Massive driftwood. Most dangerous area on Oregon's north coast.
