Hunting Island is a kitesurfing spot at Hunting Island State Park, a wild and preserved barrier island south of Beaufort. This state park offers a long natural beach facing the Atlantic, bordered by maritime forest and palmettos. It's one of the most natural spots in South Carolina, far from coastal development. Coastal erosion has created a unique landscape of dead trees on the beach. A relatively remote spot offering plenty of space and a wild atmosphere.
